Error Spotlight: Motion Sports: Play for Real

Motion Sports: Play for Real was a launch title for Xbox 360 Kinect. Released in 2010 by Ubisoft, its platinum release is a bit of a mystery. This Variant is quite strange it does not appear on any list for platinum hits games despite an Xbox Classics release, released in PAL regions.

This variant seems to be a Canadian variant only and have had it's barcode physically removed from most copies. This being done shows to me that there may have been a recall on this game, and the barcodes were removed at retail before being sent back.
However, some copies were found to have had a yellow sticker placed over where the UPC barcode was supposed to be. Wich looks like to me that they got authorization to sell them but only after the barcodes were removed.

Interestingly, one copy was found that still had the barcode. It came in a green case instead of the distinct purple Kinect case and is believed to have been a display case as opposed to a retail copy.

Today, this variant is harder to find due to it having been recalled. At the time of writing, there are only two currently available for sale on eBay. Still a more common misprint than other items featured on the website but still harder to find for Xbox 360 collectors.
